Major Website Revisions

7th Release: 6th March 2006
Although listed as the first major revision in six months, regular visitors to the website will have seen a few small changes. However we though it about time to do a bit of a wrap up with where we are in March 06.
Online registration: Well we filled up with campers in record time, and currently we're well on the way to having staff registered too. Big thumbs up to Ian for developing the most advanced online systems we've come across.
We‘ve introduced the new Staff Section, which identifies any current vacant positions for people interested in joining the CW06 staff. We‘ve also added a comprehensive organisation chart, which names all organisers, team managers and team leaders. Where we have generic @charnwood.org email addresses then these have been included
We‘ve started to list all the valued sponsors who are generously supporting the camp'.
We have updated the Spotlight Page for Jo Brown (Deputy Scout Organiser).
We continue to receive ideas for song lyrics and have updated the contributors page.
We have been working hard with the subcamp managers to develop information pages for each of the subcamps. These are intended to be consistent with the rest of the website design, but also to allow the subcamps to have some content specific to the plans of each subcamp.
From each subcamp page, you should be able to get a view of the activities programme, key people on the subcamp team, subcamp logos, colours and maybe even a bit of a brief history lesson

There have been a number of changes to the 'meet the teams' page as more and more staff get into full swing.

5th Release: 22nd June 2005
There has been a bit of a redesign of the front page, a new image and strapline have been created. A set of quick links to the most popular features on the website has been introduced and an RSS feature has been added for news headlines. Finally a site search facility has been added.
As well as most of the redesign, Ian has sucessfully implemented on the online registration process. This is the first time for a Charnwood that online booking has been introduced and there has been a great deal of preparatory work, implementation and test done by Ian in the development of the system.
Some more entries within the meet the team pages have been added as well as a number of new downloads.

4th Release: 17th May 2005
We're starting to see input to the website from some of the younger people actively involved in the camp, namely the content within the Youth Section.
The youth forum is currently the largest team and they will form an essential part of the success of Charnwood 2006.
We have also created the start of what we hope will be a popular section for contributors, namely the Songs and Music section.
We've started the content with a generous donation from the Charnwood messgae boards of the Road to Whatton House from sitb2000.
There have also been a number of textual changes to bring the website up to date and more entries within the meet the team pages.
We have also made some more subtle changes to the menu structure and banners.
