Welcome to the Tudor Sub Camp, we have a team of 14, just waiting to help make your visit to Charnwood 2006 the most exciting camp you have ever been on.
You are assured of an action and a fun packed week on the Sub Camp. The team are planning lots of team, group and individual activities
to ensure that even your ‘free time’ can and will be filled.
Before the camp, feel free to contact us at tudors@charnwood.org ask as much as you like or just have a chat.
The Camp
We intend to make sure that on Camp there will be a Tudor revival so make sure that you come armed with
‘Tudor style’ dress, there will be plenty of opportunity to wear it during some Sub Camp activities and at the closing ceremony.
(I’m sure you will meet Henry VIII several times during the week!!). There will be Tudor crafts to try, a Tudor style food competition
and just for good measure, Pete has a novel way of ensuring silence after ‘lights out’, it involves a bladed instrument and a block!!
and he has a truly dreadful experience planned for Leaders who annoy Scouts & Guides.
Our Sub Camp colour is ‘Orange’ so we will all be easily spotted. The Sub Camp badge is not quite finished yet but will be ready in plenty of time.
We have a ‘get to meet you’ meeting arranged for mid March, Group leaders will get details very shortly, if they haven’t already had them.
We aim to make our Sub Camp as interesting, colourful and as noisy as possible, a real fun place to be but we can only do it with the help of you all.
